Wildwood June 2010

Our first morning was spent at our all time fave breakfast place, Uncle Bill's

After waiting for an hour the rain finally stopped and
we made it to morey's pier
Braedan had to ring both bells..

Braedan was much more daring with his ride selection this year,
and here he is on his first roller coaster ride!

AHH it's sandman!

Everyone walking by watched in awe (and horror for mom's sake)
as braedan took a sand shower! It took about 2 hours to clean him up..

At Urie's on the water

After a long day at the beach...

As you can see, all the seats were empty around us because we were
sitting right next to kid zone

Now Mother's Day!

My lovely breakfast of smoked salmon and bagels
prepared by chef's conal and braedan (it did not require actually cooking, which
is why mom chose this)

San Juan Puerto Rico

As usual this post will start from the end of the trip and end at the beginning...

Our last night we spent in Old San Juan, a city filled with history and of course
a major cruise ship port, hence all the people that were there!

All the buildings were beautiful and pastel.

A castle from the 1500's.

and built by the Spanish of course.

The fort and entrance to the city also built by the Spanish in the 1500's.
The city was protected by a large sprawling wall to ward off pirates and unwanted guests.

The main entrance way back in the day.

The main gate into the city.

casa blanca, ponce de leon's house that he never got to live in as
he died before it was built!

The princess's house, and ofcourse there is a
"princess" standing out in front!

On the beach in front of our hotel.

At a cuban restaurant down the street from our hotel.
The best part of this city was the large variety of cuisines available.
We ate Mexican, Argentinian, Cuban, Puerto Rican and Italian food and could have eaten Japanese, Indian and Thai food as well but we did not have enough time!

A very authentic puerto rican restaurant in the El Yunque Rainforest.
We are still unsure how people are able to receive permission to live and open a restuarant inside a national park. We asked the tour guide but he did not know the answer either.

yes there was a dog on the roof of the restaurant!

At the top of the lookout tower in the Rainforest.

there is a small tree frog called a "co'qui" (ko-kee) here if you can find it!

Coco Falls

The pool at the second marriott we stayed at.

The view from our room at the second resort in Condado Beach. We were so high up Jen got dizzy out on the balcony!

The beach at the first resort we stayed at in Isla Verde
